The Colegio Mayor Nuestra Señora de África is located in a strikingly beautiful area of Madrid at the heart of the Ciudad Universitaria district, close to the Madrid Polytechnic University, the Diplomatic School, and the EOI – the Official Language School of Madrid.

It can be found close to various means of city transport which facilitates keeping in touch with the cultural feel of the capital.

There are a total of nine floors and 156 rooms in which the Colegio Mayor accommodates its residents of many different nationalities; University students, artists and investigators from various parts of the world but all sharing similar expectations and experiences.

Besides this, groups of conferences, seminars, day trips, courses, presentations, theatrical performances and concerts are organised.

Although fundamentally of a largely African nature, the Colegio remains definitively open to cultural, educational and scientific Spanish cooperation with the rest of the world.
 
A wide variety of installations are available including a library, a cafeteria, study and leisure rooms, and summer swimming pool.

Residence is a regime of full-board from Monday to Sunday. 

The Colegio Mayor stays open all year round including Christmas and Easter (“Semana Santa”) holiday periods.
