CM Ntra. Sra. de Guadalupe > Introduction
Together with the Parque del Oeste, the Colegio Mayor Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe is situated in the Ciudad Universitaria district of Madrid by the side of the Madrid Complutense University rectory near Moncloa underground.
The building was constructed by the architect Luis Feduchi in 1953. The façade faces the Parque del Oeste and the rear part faces towards Ciudad Universitaria and the sierra Guadarrama.
On its four floors, there are 212 rooms available for the residence of University students and investigators of all the countries invited by the Madrid Complutense University and the “AECI” - the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
Scholars of up to 60 different nationalities, funded by various different organisations, businesses and entities, are assigned places to carry out studies for Masters, PHD´s or similar, at universities, organisations, establishments and businesses, such as Iberdrola or the Diplomatic School, for example.
Although of a largely Hispanic nature, it remains open definitively to cultural, educational and scientific Spanish cooperation with the rest of the world.
Residence is a regime of full-board from Monday to Sunday. stays open all year round including Christmas and Easter (“Semana Santa”) holiday periods.
In addition to its internal installations, gardens and sports complex, rooms and salons are available to rent to the public engaged in academic activities.
